UPDATE: Names released of woman, 3 young children found dead in Cornelius home

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office Violent Crimes Unit is investigating the deaths of a family of four discovered Tuesday afternoon in their Cornelius home.
Around 3 p.m. April 8, deputies with the Washington County Sheriff’s Office responded to a residence near the 300 block of North 15th Avenue, where a caller had reported several people dead inside.
In a release shared Wednesday, April 9, the sheriff’s office said deputies found the bodies of 37-year-old Hong Phuong Le and her children: 7-year-old Thanh Tien Dam, 5-year-old Ha Ngan Dam and 2-year-old Viena Mai Dam.
“The Sheriff’s Office is in contact with the Forest Grove School District, ensuring timely communication reaches students, teachers and personnel impacted by this tragic story,” authorities said in the update.
The sheriff’s office said the investigation is still in its early stages, and limited information will be released at this time.
There is no believed threat to the public, investigators noted.
